☰ CURATOR OF THE HISTORIUM

Situated directly across from the entrance to the illustrious Historium, where formerly rested a large glowing orb atop a stone dais, stands a life-sized statue of a man by the name of Percy, if the plaque at its base is read. To the side of the plaque naming the Curator is a ball of marble, under which a paper note is hung:

For inquiries, please touch the ball.

Those who follow the directions will be rewarded with Percy himself materializing before them quite abruptly. He doesn't mean it to be jarring, honest.

Percy is helpful in finding reference materials and the like, as any good library, but he isn't called the Curator for nothing. He's available for specific chats. It should be noted, if you'd like to try your chances finding something from home, or finding something out about this place, try a thread with Percy. He knows a lot more than he lets on.

☰ YOUR PRAGMATIC GUARD CAPTAIN

Captain Orson Khannar is always available in his office during regular office hours, 8am-5pm, and can be contacted via messenger (it doesn't seem he has a Tell Phone, which is a bit odd) any other time. Messengers are available at the Guard Office in the Market district.

Click the link if you'd like to thread with him! Captain Khannar is in charge of keeping the peace in Aterat, and the guard headquarters is also home to the city's rudimentary prison.

Orson wasn't used to taking visitors. He was usually preoccupied keeping schedules running, training regimens, and the like, so to have someone knocking at his door was something of a surprise.

Still, he looked up from his paperwork and called.

"Enter. It's open."

He assumes its one of his men, needing something.

Leon was half surprised that no one was there to open the door, but at hearing the call, he turned the door knob and entered.

The man behind the desk was who he was expecting to see and he nodded to the guy.

"You're the man to see for business for the town, right?"

At least that's what he'd heard.

"I keep order around here and I keep the streets as patrolled as I can." He nodded in response to the question.

"How can I help you, son?"

Son? Well that was different. Still, he didn't come here for charity.

"My thought was actually to help out around here."

Since he wasn't doing anything else constructive.

Everyone was "son" to the Captain.

"Help out? You looking to join the guard?"

Leon shook his head and Nida's face flashed through his mind as did Aerith's.

"No. But I wanted to see if I can help with the repairs to the buildings within the city."

"Building repairs?" Now that was something new. "Are you a carpenter? Or a mason?"

Leon shrugged.

"I can help repair things, but I wouldn't call myself a carpenter or mason."

A sigh.

"I can also get teams of people together and have them work on repairing buildings. I did it back home."

"I don't think anyone would have a problem with that. There's a carpenter down in the Market district who can probably get you supplies, too."

He nods. "Name's Gary. I'll let him know you're coming."

Well this was going a lot easier than he thought. And if the town needed defending Leon would undoubtedly be out there with his gun blade and Fire spells. That was to give Nida and his guys a hand, as Leon didn't feel the need to be a part of an official outfit such as the town guard.

"Thanks, I'd appreciate that."

Because it would make his job so much easier too.

"We could stand to have a few more newcomers like you, son. Maybe you can get your friends involved."

He gave Leon a smile.

"Anything else I can do for you?"

There was that 'son' comment again but Leon wasn't about to let it get to him. "I've got some people in mind already."

The smile was a little disarming, Leon never expected people to smile. Well, except maybe for Aerith, Yuffie and Sora.

Leon shook his head proudly. "No I'm good, thanks. I'll see myself out then."

To the Captain, it was a term of endearment. People brought here weren't just subordinates. They became family, and the Captain had been around a while; longer than most people knew.

"Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you."

Leon was heading out the door, when he heard the Captain tell him that last part. Somehow he just hadn't expected it.

So he stopped, turned around and nodded.

"I just might do that."

And he turned back around with a smile on his face, hidden from the Captain.
