Plot Requests
The entire spirit of Aterat as a game is that of freedom. I don't want anyone to feel like they're playing within the confines of my defined system. Yes, there are regulations in place to make sure everything is fair, but otherwise, the sky is the limit! So, this section will be broken down into two sections: requests to explore an aspect of the setting, and player-run plots.
These can be something as direct as adventuring, putting together a group and heading off in the wild unknown to find new places and discover new things, or investigating something research-wise. If you'd like to do something, anything, just post a comment in the thread below, "Exploration Requests" and we'll get the ball rolling!
This is where I want everyone to feel like they have infinite freedom. That being said, while whatever plot you end up running will be run by you, submit the request here in the thread below, "Player Plots" so that we can hash out any details and make sure it's fair and fun for everyone! We've all had that situation where a plot was sprung on us out of the blue with no way to opt-out, or avoid it if it's something we don't enjoy.
If you don't feel comfortable explaining it below, or you'd like to keep it a surprise, you can always PM the Mod Account!

Exploration Requests
Forest exploration o:
I am sure Elly will chime in with Cass stuff.
I dunno what else to put here otherwise o:
Re: Forest exploration o:
Mostly Cass is going as Uldren's backup--angy boy can probably take care of himself just fine, but a buddy system in an unfamiliar place is just good sense, right? And then she can pick Uldren's brain later to see what ecosystem differences are from his world and from the Earth(s) she's familiar with, etc.
Re: Forest exploration o:
Once they've conquered that hurdle, what they can expect is a vastly different ecosystem to the entrance with is a relatively tame deciduous forest. Once they're granted further entrance, anyone with a magical sensitivity might begin to sense a sort of...sentience around them as the trees close in. If either of you is familiar with the Forest of Fangorn from Lord of the Rings, think something like that. Old and unwelcoming.
It's murky even when the sun is overhead, that's how thick the foliage above is, and the tree grow more ancient and large the further they traverse. It will be like a night without moon or stars once the sun sets, and the sounds of the creatures of the forest can be heard, the baying of hounds or at least something akin to it, and the distinct sense of being watched, but nothing other than typical forest critters are seen. This will continue for 1-2 days if they choose not to turn back.
Exploration Requests; the grave yard/spirits
I haven't asked anyone IC or OOC to join but, should they wish too, Yuna will likely ask Vincent, Cealan, Ignis and whoever else is interested. I want to be able to pull people into Yuna's explorations since she'll likely explore a lot and that way others can run with details.
Let me know if you need more.
Thank you,
Ami

1) That they are being animated by something outside of themselves, something magic
2) That there is undead under the cemetery as well as inside it.
There appears to be no way into the cemetery unless the barrier can be dropped. At least that's the case above ground.

Also, standing at that door, where does she feel more of those undead spirits? Like the ones in the graveyard, are they above them or around them? Like Farplane spooky?

As for standing that the door, yes, she does feel more undead spirits, and also an overarching, more intelligence and malicious presence that seems to be unifying them.

Her abilities are going to be hard-pressed to control the undead, though, as they are under the control of a powerful lich that will need to be handled before the undead are.

If she attempts a Sending on the lich directly, she will find its soul is not in the body they're fighting. She will find her attention, instead, drawn to a crystal vial locked in a magic circle in the back of the room they find it in. The circle is warded, but someone with magic affinity should be able to break it.

Concerning the Academy
1.If he might have found anything interesting
2.If he might have found any names of supporters of the academy that might exist in the remade aterat
3.If yes to 2, if he developed a proposal for them to see if they would be interested in financially supporting the academy again, would that go over well? Just to see if they can secure like… payment for the staff and potentially open up other positions around the school like maintenance, administration, etc?
No rush on answering, Waver’s probs going to need a few in-game weeks post Dark Hour to recoup health-wise anyway. If I should stick this elsewhere, or if this has already been discussed proposed elsewhere let me know!
Re: Concerning the Academy
He does find records on supporters for the Academy, and a few of them are listed as existing in the city. With some searching around the Noble district, he’ll be able to find a few of them have reappeared there.
You’re definitely welcome to put together a proposal for pay and restoration!
Of note, among the financial records, the headmaster seems to have signed off on almost all of the documents; one Percival Quincy.
It’s difficult to follow a timeline of the paperwork, though, because the dates don’t correlate to any used in the Aterat of today.
If you have any other questions, or if you'd like to have him dig deeper into the paperwork found at the Academy, let me know!
Re: Concerning the Academy
So he’ll definitely put together a proposal for pay/restoration. Is that something we’d hand-wave and he could mention doing when he brings his discoveries to the network, or would you like this threaded in some way?
He will seriously be thrilled by results. He hates seeing schools in disrepair.Though he will be vexed by the difficulties in putting together a timeline, so grumpy! But he will be glad to have found some of their old lesson plans and stuff to get an idea of what things were like before. If there is anything specific to the kinds of magic that this world was known for, that’d be cool to know. If not relevant, that’s also cool.
And my last question, the headmaster Percival Quincy… Would it be weird to make a connection to the curator of the historium here, as his name is Percy? I ask because I know Percy was not always at the Historium. This is more me being curious atm, because Waver wouldn’t know currently since no one’s brought up the subject of Percy and so wouldn’t make the connection without it being hinted at around him by someone else. But he would bring up the headmaster’s name with the information he discovered to the network to see if anyone recognizes it.
If someone does trigger the thinkythoughts, Waver will probably follow that train of thought though and go bug Percy.Concerning the Academy
Re: Concerning the Academy
So assuming I understand correctly. We're handwaving the Waver's proposal itself to the supporters and I can work on a network post for Waver to share good news/information with the network to get people talking about stuff. Which means I will start working on a network post and try to get it up in December! :D
